It’s all by design. The way we make our products, manage our facilities, take care of our people, and run our business is all in service of creating a bright, brilliant world. A world we are building today with renewable energy, recycled content, and that’s full of opportunity and equality for everyone’s tomorrow.
So every time the sun shines on one of our Suncast products, we take pride in knowing you’ll think it’s brilliant, too.
Our commitment to lowering our carbon footprint starts with the rising dawn. From our name to the environments where our products thrive, the sun plays an integral role in our business, powering us towards a better future in all our operations.
Our customers know us for our smart, innovative products that make their lives easier and more efficient today, but our design for them goes beyond that. By developing products that incorporate recycled content and can be recycled at their end-of-life, we’re innovating our offerings so that they make life easier for our customers and the planet every day after.
Our people make everything possible. From paying all our employees a living wage to supporting underserved communities through on-the-job training and apprenticeship, we strive to foster a diverse community and promote equal opportunity initiatives to make new things possible for them.
Sustainable impact doesn’t happen overnight—it comes from improving every day. At Suncast, we are always looking toward the horizon for improving our processes, products, and environment inside our company and out to create meaningful impact. From the way we make our products to the way we encourage our employees, we have set ambitious, measurable goals to create a future that’s brilliant by design.
By 2025, all our facilities will send zero waste to landfill.
By the end of 2023, 100% of our plants will be partially solar-powered, and all our distribution facilities will operate using 100% self-generated solar power.
Our products will be manufactured with 55% recycled materials by 2025. Our products also are designed to be recycled at their end-of-life. While we are developing a national network of recyclers that will accept all Suncast products by 2025, they can be returned to our Batavia, IL facility if local recycling isn’t available.
We have committed 50% of all Executive and Director-level positions and board positions to be held by women and minorities by 2025.
